Salvation Army Jewelry Haul [ 5.19.12 ] - DETAILS (Part 1)

Salvation Army Jewelry Haul [ 5.19.12 ]
Last weekend, I found the most awesome earrings. It was my first time finding jewelry that I really loved at my local Salvation Army. I wound up getting 8 pairs of earrings that were $2.50 each, which totaled to $20! They were originally $5 each, but it was 50% Off  that day, so I definitely got lucky. My faves are the textured X’s & the gold crosses. I think the gold crosses are pins because of the backs that came with them, but they can definitely be worn as earrings too. Two for one? HELLZ YES! ;)

Small Goodwill Haul —- [ 1.2.12 ]

Yesterday, my sis & I decided to drop by the Goodwill an hour before it closed. It seems like every time I’m short on time when I’m at the Goodwill, I always find some sweet gems. This trip was pretty successful. I hit the shoe section first as always & I really didn’t find anything I liked in my size. However, as I was about to leave the shoe section, my sis pointed out these sweet Steve Madden Suede Lace-Up Loafers. They look almost brand new. There was some wear inside the shoe, but the condition on the sole & the exterior was pretty good. All they need is a little bit of cleaning & they’ll be great. It was only $7.99 & they fit me perfectly, so you know I had to get them.

After browsing through the skirts, I decided to go through the jacket section. I stumbled upon an acid wash jean jacket that was a size small. I’m nowhere near a size small, but the thing with thrift stores and vintage clothing is that you can’t always judge by the size on the tag. You pretty much have to try everything on. Surprisingly, the jacket fit me pretty well. I can’t button it up, but I think it looks much better unbuttoned anyways. I’m thinking about making it a diy project by adding studs & spikes. It’s so perfect. It was $9.99, which is pretty expensive to me, but I felt that it was worth it. It just needs a little sprucing up & then it’ll be perfect. ;)

11.05.11 - Thrift Haul [ Part 3 ]

• Along with the $5 bag, I also purchased a brand new, genuine leather bag with the tags still on it. It is by Hillard & Hanson, which was carried by Mervyn’s. It has minor scratches on both sides, but it’s not very noticeable. Bags are usually $1.50, but since this one was brand new with tags, it was $5. It’s a bit expensive, but I fell in love with the color and the accordion style. It’s separated into 2 compartments with a flap & snap closure on both sides. I also got 2 belts. One is a brownish/red genuine leather belt. It’s a bit worn, but that made the leather soft & I like the gold buckle. The other belt is so awesome. One of my fave thrift finds ever. I’ve never seen a belt like it. There are gold/silver plates attached to a very stretchy material and instead of a regular buckle, it has a metal clasp. It reminds me so much of a snake. I’m so in love with it! :D Both belts were $1 each. Everything including the items above & the $5 bag of clothes came up to just $12.93!!!!!!! So amazing.
