Small Goodwill Haul —- [ 1.2.12 ]
• Yesterday, my sis & I decided to drop by the Goodwill an hour before it closed. It seems like every time I’m short on time when I’m at the Goodwill, I always find some sweet gems. This trip was pretty successful. I hit the shoe section first as always & I really didn’t find anything I liked in my size. However, as I was about to leave the shoe section, my sis pointed out these sweet Steve Madden Suede Lace-Up Loafers. They look almost brand new. There was some wear inside the shoe, but the condition on the sole & the exterior was pretty good. All they need is a little bit of cleaning & they’ll be great. It was only $7.99 & they fit me perfectly, so you know I had to get them.
After browsing through the skirts, I decided to go through the jacket section. I stumbled upon an acid wash jean jacket that was a size small. I’m nowhere near a size small, but the thing with thrift stores and vintage clothing is that you can’t always judge by the size on the tag. You pretty much have to try everything on. Surprisingly, the jacket fit me pretty well. I can’t button it up, but I think it looks much better unbuttoned anyways. I’m thinking about making it a diy project by adding studs & spikes. It’s so perfect. It was $9.99, which is pretty expensive to me, but I felt that it was worth it. It just needs a little sprucing up & then it’ll be perfect. ;)
