• No matter how hard you try, you can’t make someone love you. There’s absolutely NO convincing. Either they love you or they don’t. Plain & simple. Sometimes you get tired of fighting for something. It takes a toll after awhile & then you’ll have to come to the realization that it’s no longer worth fighting for. I’m now at that point. I wish that I could just forget the memories that I have because they’re only a painful reminder of something that never was & what could’ve been. Something that I prayed so hard for. Now, we’re drifting further & further apart. I pray that God gives me the strength to get thru this because it’s so difficult for me, but I know that I’ll eventually get to the point where I will no longer have to worry about this. One day at a time .  .  .

• My fam & I decided to celebrate Father’s Day & my Mama’s Birthday early & went to Phil’s BBQ for dinner in San Marcos. I’ve tried Phil’s BBQ before, but haven’t eaten at the actual restaurant until Saturday. It was about a 30 min. wait, which actually isn’t bad since some days there’s a 2 hr wait, or longer. It was totally worth it. The food is so delicious. I was gonna take pics of what everyone ordered but they already started grubbin’ before I could snap pics. Haha.

—- I ordered the “El Toro,” which is a sandwich with thinly sliced tri-tip smothered in their famous bbq sauce.

—- Also had a side of potato salad, which is the best I’ve ever had (this plate has a whole bunch of random food. It’s not an actual order):

• My sister had the “BBQ Broham,” which is also a sandwich, except it had pulled pork instead. I actually liked hers better than mine. I wish I ordered it because it was soooooooooo good! They currently have 2 locations, one in San Marcos & one in San Diego. If you’re ever in these areas, you HAVE to go check out Phil’s BBQ! I promise you won’t be disappointed. The prices are really reasonable. All the dishes are under $20, with the majority being under $10. The fam is thinking about going back for 4th of July. Haha. Can’t wait! :)

• After we got home, my brother, sister & I decided to go out for a bit. We dropped by Ross cuz I wanted to get a pair of wedges. Got lucky & found these cute ones for $16.99. I love the “basket weave” looking wedge & the contrast stitching. One thing I do have to say about trying on shoes at Ross is that it’s a pain in the ass! Why? Because the material they put around the shoes to hold on to the security tag doesn’t allow you to even walk with the shoes on. It’s super frustrating especially if you want to see if the shoes are comfy or not. Anyways, I tried them on & I liked them. Didn’t get a chance to walk around in them but I knew they’d be pretty comfy. I know I could always insert some gel pads for the ball of my foot if they weren’t. They were too cute to pass up (my excuse for all my purchases, right? Hahaha.)

Copped these awesome Dolce Vita for Target Cork Wedge Sandals in Gold last night for $7.48! They’re originally $29.99, so that’s a great deal.

I got them in 8.5 (these run a half size too big, but I got them anyways since they were the only pair closest to my size). Girrrrrl, I’d be a fool to pass them up for $7.48.!
