New 2014 Releases from Lancome!

Skin is the key trend for 2014, and that forces us all to take note of things like sincare, foundations, concealers, and - BLUSH!

Lancôme is launching Blush Subtil in 6 shades (shades may vary from country to country so check with local counters for more info!). To make it easier for you to remember, there will be 2 rose-tones (numbered in 20s), 3 corals (numbered in 30s), and 1 neutral (numbered in 40s).

These shades are super pigmented and you hardly need any product to get great payoff. Some of the strong shades are also perfect for darker skins and will not look chalky or unnatural.

At time of writing, the 2nd rose shade is not available for swatching and reviewing.

My absolute favorites of the bunch are 030, a soft coral with a gorgeous gold sheen, and 021 a bright candy pink.

There is also a new foundation to be released in Asia, Blanc Miracle, which contains SPF50 and ingredients to help prevent and treat discolorations and uneven tones. It also has a new “smart” technology which allows just the right amount of liquid solvents in the foundation to evaporate after it’s applied, so it’s neither too tacky nor too moist for your skin.

Next is a neat little concealer compact, Le Correcteur Pro, similar to the dual-color Palette Pro compact available previously only in Europe, except this not only contains a corrector shade and a concealer shade; it also comes with a matching setting powder. Le Correcteur Pro will be available in 4 shades in Singapore.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!

For ladies in Asia, there will be an upgraded Blanc Expert Spot Eraser, which contains newer ingredients to quickly reduce discolorations and marks caused by sun exposure or acne. If you’re in Europe, the Pacific, and the Americas it might be harder to come across spot correctors or all the “white” ranges brought out by brands for the Asian market.

If you ever drop by one of the Asian cities make sure you check it out! I recommend them just because anything that is targeted at treating marks and uneven tones, like the “white” ranges, always contain powerful anti-oxidant and skin repair ingredients, which are great for everyone. As mentioned before, these aren’t created to bleach the skin. They are just designed to improve radiance and tone, and protect from further sun damage.

—- The Corals ! OH . MY . GAWD

July Collective Haul: Part 1 – Makeup

• L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow – Cherie Merie ( Limited Edition )

—- After wanting & searching for this color since the Miss Candy collection dropped , this baby is finally mine . If you haven’t tried the Infallible Eyeshadow line , I highly recommend it . They’re super pigmented & apply/blend like a dream .

• Nail Rock Nail Velvet Kit – Burgundy

—- This was an impulse buy . Decided to finally try velvet nails & it was under $6 so I couldn’t pass it up .

• Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush – Flushed

—- This was another product that I’ve been wanting for a while & was hoping would go on sale ( it’s around $11 ) , but it never has so I caved in & purchased it .

• Equate Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover

—- I wanted to try a non-acetone nail polish remover since it’s more gentle on your nails/cuticles than the typical acetone .

• Carmex Lip Balm – Strawberry

—- Ran out of my fave lip balm , so naturally I purchased another .

• Wet ‘n Wild CoverAll Pressed Powder – Medium ( 825B )

—- Wanted to try a new powder since it’s summer . This was inexpensive ( under $3 ) & surprisingly great for its price . It’s finely milled which makes it smooth & such a breeze to blend . It doesn’t leave you with a “cakey” finish which is why I deter from most powders since I have normal/dry skin .

• Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation – Nude ( 340 )

—- One of my fave drugstore foundations . I ran out so I picked up another . It’s one of the most inexpensive drugstore foundations ( under $4 ) but it’s good . It has medium coverage , but it can be buildable . One of the things I love most about this foundation ( besides the price ) is the fact that it has a spatula built into the cap which makes it mess-free & allows the user to control how much product they want to use .

• Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner – Brown

—- I wanted to switch up my brow routine by using a gel liner so I went with my fave gel liner . I now fill in my brows with the gel liner first & set it with brow powder afterwards . With the gel liner , I’m able to get a more precise & clean line as opposed to just using the brow powder alone .

• Wet ‘n Wild Color Icon Blush – Heather Silk

—- One of my fave drugstore blushes so I ecided to pick up another color . Heather Silk is a berry pink & it’s very pigmented .

• Milani Lip Flash – 07 In A Flash ( x2 )

• Milani HD Lip Color – Premiere Plum

—- Found these lip products at the Dollar Tree . The Lip Flash is very pigmented , it’s frosty & I’m not a fan of frost-finish lip products . I wish they had more colors to choose from at my local Dollar Tree . The HD Lip Color was disappointing because it’s very sheer . When something is named HD , you expect it to be amazing & this product was not . Good thing it was only a dollar because I would’ve never paid full price for something so sheer .
