Salvation Army Thrift Haul - [ 1.20.12 ] Part 2

After months of renovation, my local Salvation Army finally re-opened on January 12th. While the Salvation Army was under renovation, I had been going to the Goodwill to fill that void. Now that my baby’s back in business, I couldn’t be happier. The Goodwill is cool & all but the Salvation Army is where I started thrifting & grew a passion for it. To me, they have better deals because unlike the Goodwill who only has certain tags for 50% off, the Salvation Army usually has sales throughout all departments in the store. Sometimes, they even have 75% OFF! Yes the prices vary, but the selection is far greater at the Salvation Army. On this particular day, the 50% Off Grand Re-Opening Week Sale was still going on, so you know I was excited. Here’s what I ended up purchasing:

  • Sheer Black Floral Long-Sleeved Blouse$6.05 x .5  $3.03
  • Black Velvet Maxi Skirt with Side Slits$10.05 x .5  $5.03
  • Red Chunky Knit Sweater - $5.45 x .5  $2.73
  • Blue Jeggings - $8.95 x .5  $4.48
  • Gold Metallic Thread Cardigan - $5.95 x .5  $2.98
  • Blue Abstract Print Tank - $4.50 x .5  $2.25

Grand Total $20.50 | PART 1

Great Concept and Wonderfully shot

This video is amazing. The concept of them opening a boutique that sells second-hand goods is awesome. I’ve been into thrifting for like 2 years now. It changed my outlook on fashion dramatically. I love it & I highly recommend it.

If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE bright colors & bargains. So when I saw this awesome bright, loud floral blazer, I had to get it immediately!

I know there’s people who’ll be like “Eww, you shop at thrift stores?” YES BITCH. I shop at thrift stores. I’ve found some amazing & unique pieces while thrift shopping/bargain hunting. I’m not ashamed to say where I shop. I don’t have money to spend on designer clothes, so I make the most of the money that I do have. Plus it really doesn’t matter where you get your clothes anyways. If you have style & can rock that shit then there’s no problem. I know not everyone likes bright or loud colors, but I’m not afraid to rock it. Fashion is about having fun people!

& oh yea, I scored this for $3.49. WOOHOO! Can’t wait to wear it! :D
